Over the last year, building a life and a new studio in the countryside has brought wonder and inspiration…

— and unexpected companions: many stray cats in need.

As an animal lover, I’ve welcomed and / or fostered five so far, caring for them and arranging neutering and adoptions for all through organizations, while covering specialized foods and health products, treatment, litter, bedding, transport and more, expenses that accumulate quickly.

  • Basil

    One of Poppy’s baby, he was born outside and came in with his sister Ivy. Their siblings did not survive the predators. Adopted into a loving home with the help of Refuge Bella-Lou.

  • Meville

    Mev is our current foster. He is still healing from cold, hunger and animal attack. He needs ear treatment and high calorie food for malnourishment. He was considered too feral for adoption - he absolutely isn’t, he just needed time.

  • POPPY

    Poppy had babies outside, only two survived. She was unsocialized and stayed here for 8 months. She needed antibiotics, specialized food and supplements for an infection. She became very sweet and healthy, and adopted into a loving home with the help of Refuge Bella-Lou.

  • Henrik

    Henrik just decided to come in during -20C weather. He was just tired of being cold and hungry. His skin was in bad condition but he charmed everyone, and was adopted into a loving home with the help of Lady Gatta recue.

  • IVY

    Ivy is Poppy's baby and came in with her brother Basil. The other babies unfortunately did not make it. Very shy at first, she became very sweet and is adopted into a loving home with the help of Refuge Bella-Lou.
