L.L.Y. Atelier, led by Agathe Bodineau, is a distinctive voice in independent jewelry and object design, bridging traditional craftsmanship with a modern vision shaped by Montreal’s creative culture. Each piece is thoughtfully created through close collaboration with local foundries and suppliers, embracing small-scale production that prioritizes detail, intention, a commitment to sustainable practices. Agathe, a self-taught jeweler with an academic background from Concordia University and École des beaux-arts de Montpellier, brings artistic rigor and intuitive design to her work. Her collections, inspired by the interplay of visual art, natural sciences, and minimalist architecture, reflect a refined aesthetic.

Having garnered attention in prestigious outlets like Vogue, ELLE, and La Presse, and showcased at leading fashion events including Montreal and New York Fashion Weeks, L.L.Y. ATELIER has grown its presence well beyond its Montreal roots.

The studio has collaborated with designers like Maison Marie Saint Pierre and Marie-Eve Lecavalier, creating custom metal pieces for their collections. This narrative of elevated craftsmanship, coupled with a dedication to quality and responsible design defines L.L.Y. ATELIER’s approach—offering distinctive pieces that speak to a thoughtful, global audience.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Agathe Bodineau, the founder of L.L.Y. Atelier, is a self-taught silversmith with a background in fine arts, with about a decade of practice in jewelry-making and metalwork. Her work is driven by a blend of process, experimentation, and instinct. Agathe’s creative course has evolved from visual arts to jewelry design and objects. L.L.Y. Atelier reflects her commitment to handmade, intentional design and supports the ethos of small-scale, human-centric production.
